Moondog: What's on? Pilsner: I dunno... some documentary... it's called "The Birds." Moondog: Nah, that's not a documentary... it's an old Hitchcock movie... silly premise... birds go nuts... attack people... try to take over the world. Here... gimme the remote. Let's see if something better is on... on the other hand, some consider it a Hitchcock classic.

There’s not even a remote chance you’re gonna change that channel, pal…..Da boid sez no!

No one ever really understood WHY those birds attacked. The psychological horror was derived from that sense of the unknown. If audiences had understood at the time that avians turn vicious if you change the channel on them, the movie would have been a lot less successful.

What happened to the Monty vs. Very Persistent Annoying Muscle Geek story line? When last we left them there was talk of either a wrestling move or a Polynesian drink…. so what do you think happened?

Rumor was that Hitchcock wanted a different ending
to the movie but the studio wouldn’t cough up anymore
money…Final scene was supposed to have them
driving across the Golden Gate bridge…covered in birds.

I tried to read that in English – still too difficult to remember all the different names that each person was called. But as I AM able to read Spanish, I can appreciate Garcia Marques with his marvelous poetic descriptions better than in a translation ;-P

This is just Great! Do you know how many crows’ nests there are in my neighbourhood? Or the fact that since its warmer – the blasted feathered beasts are getting ready to NEST!.Though it was nice last week not being the one stalked. Darn crow was stalking the girl walking in front of me. She was the one wearing the dark furry collar that looked suspiously like a squirrel.
