Mom: Luann, I spent 30 minutes yesterday scraping dried-on food off of the dishes!
Mom: So will you please rinse your dishes when you put them in the sink?!
Luann: Shee! More work!!
Uh, back when I didn’t have dishwasher I would have said “fill your dishes with with water” (to let them soak – and then it is very easy to wash them). Also, if it started to look like I’d need to scrape dishes for 30 minutes, I would have called the guilty kid to do that. (Actually, I have made my kids to rewash dishes if they haven’t scraped off food before putting into dishwasher.)

Or better yet just give her a doggie dish or have her eat off of the floor.

Better yet, why don’t YOU do all of the dishes, Luann. Those who do the cooking don’t do the cleaning up.
