Don’t you conduct with a wand or a baton or something? How common is it for the conductor to own one of the instruments?

Yes, Flight Suit, this doesn’t sound very plausible.

3rd appearance of the concert hall. Panel 2. One of these days, there will be a slip up and a previously over used panel, the circus tent or Jack’s Casino for example, will make it into the current story.

Fight Suit we’ve seen enough of Locher writing style to know that introducing the implausible, faces no kind of “barrier” when he sits down to continue a tale each morning. Nor do they appear to strike him as illogical.

He gsve us a “double whammy” in the Circus tale when he had the FBI hide Ringo (for his own safety) right there among the people trying desperately to kill him. And all the Workers in that Criminal “Export Company” suddenly, (magically?) aquired distorted physical appearances and/or skills to “fit in” and work at a Circus.. And, the prior one with the constantly changing sums of money at Big Ace’s with the “magical” delivery of the Matrix Pack after Tracy ordered it, and no one was “seen” to deliver it.

We don’t know for sure but have to guess A) There is no comprehensive plot, and the story is written from day to day, and B) “Insufficient” time and thought are given to the task. Ommisions that create a “minefield” for multiple BLUNDERS. And they certainly do seem to emerge..

And here it seems we have enough factors for our “quad erat demonstrandom”.

It’s incongruous that he could be doing these remarkable things after reasonable consideration, Otherwise. look for him to shortly join Don Quick Oatie at that “Leafy Dale” Institution to formulate a new Quest for tilting Pigs on Wheels or Tigers

I’m now at least slightly deconfused, Sydney. The conductor owns the Strad, and he lends it to the violinist for the concerts. This has gone from totally implausible to only mildly implausible. What is bizarre is that the son must know his father would know he was the thief. And now he comes home with the fake, as though he were just casually taking the Strad for a walk in the snow. And knowing it will be spotted in three seconds as a fake. Hey, even the CASE would be different from the original! Maybe the son is doing it because the family needs the money? Well…no use speculating.

A stolen violin? This sounds like a case more for the Hardy Boys rather than Dick Tracy.

Two days ago he was choking the kid. Today we get a rehash but without the choking. Locher’s technique of rewriting the same scene over again with a few changes is how he turns a three week story into a three month story. Two steps forward, one step back is what we get every Monday.

ChubsyUbsy said, “Why is the son carrying a violin case? What happened to the lunch box with the $2 million?”

The violin case contains the fake Strad that mysteriously appeared after the kid made the transaction with the aliens in the car.

If you recall, the lunch box grew to the size of a brief case a day or so ago. Well, it shrank to wallet size today and the kid has it in his pocket. Simple, eh?

We must remain alert when reading this fast paced, action packed strip!

Today’s “Brewster Rockit” strip gives an evolutionary explanation for why all the characters in DT have those strange tiny hands–they’re from the far future!

That’s a great “take” of how it all happened VistaBill,

I think I prefer your “interpretation” of events than those “hind sighted” ones we’ve been getting from one JAD, who was congratulated by jtpozenel last week as a “genius”.
