Actually today’s strip falls in my favorite Frog Applause category: Made Me Laugh. Other categories include Made Me Think, Made Me Go “Huh?”, and Made Me Go “Eeeewwwww.”
Just visited your blog. I’m always amazed that you manage to find such quirky, interesting images. Truly amazing!!! I love ’em.-William H. Johnson is one of my favorite primitive painters.
Most subliminal messages are meaningless. There’s a YouTube video that shows how prevalent ‘666’ is in advertising. However, they’re mostly just curlicues, which is a very common design element.
I really liked Ben Gazzara in Run For Your Life, but really enjoyed his work with John Cassavedes, especially in Husbands teamed with Cassavedes and Peter Falk.
chicken dinner IS good candy per the mighty wikipedia
Chicken Dinner BarThe Chicken Dinner Bar had been a product of the Sperry Candy Company, which was acquired by Pearson’s in 1962. The bar, introduced during The Great Depression, was so called in reference to President Herbert Hoover’s promise of “a chicken in every pot”.9 The bar did not contain chicken or other poultry products, but was, rather, a chocolate-covered nut roll. Pearson’s discontinued the bar’s production after the acquisition.8 Early TV commercials sang “Chick – Chick – Chick – Chick – Chicken Dinner” similar to, and in the cadence of a rooster crowing.

Hm, good question. I’ve read that they only work if listened to for hours and hours. Sort of a cumulative thing.

Subliminal adds absolutely do not work. I bought you the pony because you look like a kid who could care for and enjoy having a pony.
