Reg died in 1998. In 2007 a bronze statue of Andy was erected near the Harbour of Refuge pub in Reg’s hometown of Hartlepool.

Actually, Reg hasn’t done the strip since 1998, when he passed away. And I think he wouldn’t approve of all the PC changes that have been made. Remember when Flo and Andy used to roll around in a dust cloud while fighting?
