Some dogs couldn’t care less about chasing a ball of any kind. They have other interests though. The trick is to find out what they are and play to the things he loves.
My little girl (talking about a dog here) likes to chase a sock. I’ll throw it, she runs and grabs it, and then I have to chase her down and pull it away from her to throw it again. She’s never been one to simply bring it back.
my little boy has no interest on chasing anything. when i come home and he starts going crazy, i tell him to go get his toy. he then prances around the house barking around the toy in his mouth. witch is why i want to have him get the toy. it slightly muffles him. : )
I used to take my labrador and Shepard/Doberman mix to the school yard and hit a tennis ball with a racket as hard as I could. They could go as long as I could.
