A mongoose? a mongoose looks more like an otter than it looks like a wolf. Are they taking art lessons from the guy who draws Overboard?

It’s a prehistoric mongoose! It can look a little wolfish and that’s okay :P

Mongooses aren’t rodents. They are closer to otters and weasels.

Anyway, a long time ago, people in South and Central America, having heard of the ability of the mongoose to attack and kill cobras, imported them to control the native Fer-de-lance snake population. And soon, they had a serious mongoose problem: a Fer-de-lance strikes from a coil; the mongoose didn’t stand a chance and moved onto simpler prey; and became a serious nuisance. (Or maybe they ought to have imported Indian snake charmers as well?)
