Given that characters in this strip never age, I’d say we already know what Buggy will look like in 60 years.

Two questions—why did Buggy throw away his helmet and goggles (except to set up the joke in the last panel) and why is James looking at Granddad disapprovingly? (Buggy’s costume reminds me of the weird kid in the line to see Santa in “A Christmas Story,” the one who creeped out Ralph by declaring his liking for Santa and the Tin Man from “The Wizard of OZ.”)

I’m wondering what James and Buggy think of each other. Maybe it’s better not to speculate. If they are related, I again feel that their ancestors should have been sterilized. Eugenics!
