Vicki sometimes pops in at inopportune times.

Yes, but this is a highly opportune time!

I once made chili with a ghost pepper, habanero, serrano, and jalapeno. Yummy. But no insanity pepper.

The “Chili Cook-off” got a chilly reception!

“So spicy it will make you weep!”That’s a far ‘cry’ from being accepted …and it’s a crying shame!

I’ve had chili so spicy it will make you weep. It was in a Tex-Mex restaurant in Pasadena (TX, not CA). I have a very high tolerance for spicy stuff, but this was too spicy even for me—I only could finish half the bowl!

Good spicy chili has to be spicy enough to get your attention,but not nuke the taste buds. If you’re in the nuke the taste buds category with your chili recipe, that’s great for your own consumption,for the rest of us chili lovers ease up on the heat. Still, Vicki’s idea for a chili cook off is great!

Dagwood Bumstead can be another judge. He loves his five alarm chili.

Wow, you see her “Dangerous” side come out a lot more often.

I wonder…are those expressions a “Spicy chili for a kids fundraiser?” look, or are they actually a “Why didn’t I think of that?” look?
