That looks like something from Monty Python’s Flying Circus.

I hate to be such an engineer, but…I don’t think Dill would have the momentum needed to get going in the first panel.

It’s easy to get lost in there!

Welcome back Richard! Your friends did a marvelous job, but it will be nice to “see” you on Monday!

I think that contraption is the best way to show the passage of time since we last saw Richard. It is also a device that I remember in one of the first Cul de Sacs I read when I discovered it (that and the marvelous toilet plumbing in the school). Welcome back! (if indeed you are!)

I’m confused – I thought Stephan Pastis was supposed to do next week’s strip. Anyone know if there was a change of plan? Of course I will be thrilled to have Richard back, but I was also looking forward to seeing Pastis’ take on the strip. Also, is today’s Sunday strip by a guest artist? It doesn’t look quite like Richard’s drawing to me, unless it’s some of his older work.

I’m not sure that Richard will be back tomorrow, I think that will happen in April. I believe it will be Stephan Pastis tomorrow. His blog shows a cartoon of him back at his drawing board.

I don’t think this is Richard’s work. The initials are ‘CRP’.

Didn’t mention it before, but this strip about Dill in the twisty tube made me giggle . . . don’t know why.
