Yup — that car is about to be dead silent.

And I doubt it’s worth the thousands in repairs… Jerry probably helped her get a great deal on it…when his mother was selling it….it really only had 65.000 miles on it…. after he helped Verla subtract his Mom’s 3 trips to Florida and that time they all drove it to Mexico City……. After all, long trips are so easy on engines..I can still hear the clunking in Burl’s brain, though.I’m so touched by Joy’s ignorant sisterly pride.She may put Verl down to her face… but no one else is allowed to point out her stupidity.

Burl, the reason you don’t hear anything is that the engine has seized up.

Not only has the rattling stopped, it isn’t going to be burning as much gas for a while.

When I was a kid, we had a neighbor who pampered his car. One night someone laid some old gears under his car. Freaked him out for a minute or two. I hear pouring a little puddle of oil will get them riled too.

GymShoe — Yes, probably! Actually I thought you were just looking ahead… the 19th of March will be a Tuesday in 2013.

And Mikie — 4 inches??!!Yikes!We got about 2 1/2 " last Tuesday, but Friday’s heavy rain was of short duration…. not sure how much but way less.

Not sure which of those storms is visiting Texas, but it sounds like both.

I still have some Bombay Sapphire (gift from a former co-worker when I held a party with others from that place), It’s good, but I like my 2 regular gins better.

My waterfall is back like new after total cleaning today, but he’ll be back on Friday (I suspected there was something serious) He will rebuild the pump. I just hope the coming hot weather will not make algae in the pool before the pump is working.
