This presents a great opportunity for future strips. IRL, too bad they didn’t jump into the deeper discussion. We often treat our children as lacking intelligence. Then, when they display a flash of brilliance, we put them back into that category. Makes you wonder whether many parents feel more comfortable with children they can command. Also explains why so many grow into irresponsible adults, following their parental role models.

My general rule is to not ask kids why they’ve done something. It’s not like they’re going to say for the betterment of mankind.
