Johnny, thank you. The world needs more news stories like that. My favorite was one that told about an elephant that got away and somehow got into an old folks home and kept walking up and down the hall. Evidently there was some concern (not to mention surprise) on the part of the people who lived there….

What were they supposed to do before they got horses in Australia?

If you think the joust looks silly on emu-back, you should see the kangaroo races, and the hobby-wombats.

And let me tell you, a Charlie-cassowary in your leg is no fun at all!

Forgot to say…@GatoCat — I never was much into arcade games,but I did like to play Joust every now and then…. and it was because of those wonderful sound effects.

How do you get down off an Emu?

I know they hold annual ostrich races in Chandler, but nothing was said about a joust, probably because someone (or a bird) might be hurt.

I’m guessing this is referencing the old “Joust” video game where you joust on big flying birds. Remember the Egg Level?
