Marg — that’s what I was thinking….Then again, they ARE good buddies…. (well, except maybe times like when Joy needs ALL the half-price pastry for herself.) But at least birds of a feather. Meanwhile, a Dinette Set with no Pennys. It’s like…. it’s like… Garfield minus Garfield.
BTW I was going to say about your cartoon yesterday…yes, I’ve had it on my computer at least that long, but it never gets old!I’ve heard people eay they were waiting to see your egg avatars. Are they your handiwork?Very nice!
I have seen something like this happen. When I was a kid someone parked in front of our driveway blocking because they were late for their kids graduation. My dad asked him to move it and the owner told my dad we could wait and had nothing better to do we could wait.. When they got towed the owner wanted my dad to pay for the towing the ticket and to impounding lol
Nothing left to say. But on the Clooney photo, Wendy W said yesterday that he and Andy Cohen look alike to her. I can’t imagine why unless she thinks all white men of a certain age do, I guess I watch too much TV
Maybe now they’ll make signs that say, “at vehicle owner’s expense”, but knowing these people, they will still think of something brainless to do. A strip without Burl and Joy Penny is like a day without dumb and dumber. lol
we had problems with elected officials, and detectives doing the same. a little you-tube air does work. even had time when (winter) running a car unattended was ticketed, until the evening news visited the parking lot infront of the Police Ops Ctr. 8 unattended cop cars running with noone around. they asked all people that got tickets to subpoena the police chief to appear in court for each and every citation. and they did.
Number Six — whoo-eeee.One of the few who just got better looking and more charming as he aged.A childhood idol even though way too old for me.If not for you (ladies) yet, watch Bringing Up Baby some time.Dazz – is this who you meant by photo of Clooney?Different generation altogether, and no comparison anyway.I have no clue who those other people are.
OK, Clooney or the idol from another gereration (same to me) I always had slightly different taste. I liked Tony Martin in my teens and Mario Lanza too. Movie stars and the other overhyped ones -not. I rather equate those 2 because neither have appealed to me
In the early 60s I was far too busy with my children born in Jan 60, Feb 61, Sept 62 and July 64 to worry about any Hollywood heartthrobs. I was married in April of 69 and divorced in Aug of 74 so I had a busy time around then. I agree about all this Titanic nonsense too. .I was just watching the new Great Expectations tonight. I’m not sure if Sucet plays the benefactor (without the little Poirot mustache), but I love all the Dickens plays and will save this.
@#6 those movies are among my archives but my favorite TM song was “I get Ideas” and I still keep an audio on my PC and my BF put together a CD of Lanza for me years ago. We have been to many operas as well as musical plays together back in Chicago, even an unfortunate season opening night of Boris Godunov on my birthday (we had a good time in spite of less than interesting music).
I had to look back to Lyric Opera and see that we last went in 1997 to opening night for my birthday and I believe we dined at a famous restaurant which has since closed

At this point I’d get a video camera (iPod, smartphone, handycam, whatever) and ask her “Can you please repeat that?”

I haven’t anything clever to say about today’s comic. But it is hilarious!

I know what I’d tell her, but I can’t repeat that here.

I think that is Ma Darwin with wrong-colored hair.
And just when have the comments to this strip been clever?

@#6, both of those favorites of mine remind me of my BF in our younger days. I’ll switch my avatar back to a photo with him.
