My cat never explains where she has been, what she has been doing or when she will be back. To be fair, she doesn’t ask me either although I suspect that is less a matter of respect for my independence and more a total lack of interest. She expresses no interest in the Queen either so I don’t take it personally.
Our cat is an indoor cat but she has one particular rug she always rolls on. I don’t know if its a coincidence or not that it’s the oldest rug in the house.
Pussycat, pussycat, where have you been?I’ve been to London to visit the Queen.Pussycat, pussycat, what did you there?I frightened a little mouse under her chair.-James William Elliott
@tbritt99 Pussycat, pussycat, where have you been? Under the scalpel of Dr. McQueen. Pussycat, pussycat, what did he do? I’ve grown fat and lazy now… does that give you a clue? — Mad Magazine, 70’s or early 80’s I think.

Splender in the grass….however, that could be a dead mouse in the grass too…..little difference to a cat…

Certainly not slender in the grass. Our cat only rolls on sidewalks or driveways, never in the grass.

Our black cat moxie is notorious for doing this. Then when she comes in, she wants to roll on the carpet & couch.

Ha!! Grass is not dirty enough for our cats — they prefer sand or mud and come in with a dust cloud following.
