I routinely got in trouble for talking at school. (One spanking, the rest just verbal reminders – I wasn’t sassy, so the principal never got involved.) But I homeschooled my kids, so when anyone ever asked about “socialization”, I would tell them I got in trouble for doing that when I was in school. My kids did their socializing outside of class time.
