Now I understand.what Darth’s buddy is carrying on his back.(Biggest one hitter you’ll ever see.) Personally Dogsniff, I was partial to Ripple Pear wine.
Actually, by the time that album came out, it was probably the Who, the Kinks… and the Stones…..too many to even list…and yeah, Dogsniff, Zappa too.. And the wine was $4.
VARNES If you show up today, check my last posting to you yesterday late. A touch of bragging, even if I had nothing to do with the talent the boys had. Both were adults when I married their father.
Dogsniff, Spanada…, Ripple, then Boone’s Farm Apple wine, and then Strawberry Hill.. Put on Don’t Crush That Dwarf, Hand Me The Pliers… and let’s get stoopid! Hey, no Bogarting….t
Larry — it was about 3 am, and (sniffle) I did say too many to list!Of course Procol Harum and the Moody Blues!Small Faces, The Band, The Kinks, I mean, I even left out the Beatles_
Stagger Lee — right you are, of course! Silly me. Let me change that to "I never habitually drank any wines to which the “wineries” had added fruit flavors reminiscent of Kool-Aid, in order to mask their cheap acidity."I don’t even object to wine made from fruits other than grapes…. a friend used to make some great Russian River blackberry wine with the local wild bounty.
But Passion Pink Ripple…. nah. As for Night Train… Gallo should be ashamed!
mythreesons, wow your son is GREAT! I had no idea….thanks for the info…I found this……although the article seems to take the symbolism WAY to seriously, the pictures are pretty good!
Actually have “The Wall” Disc 2 spinning on the turntable right now, but I think I’ll have to go over to the shelf and grab Dark Side. It was the album that truly convinced me of the superiority of vinyl, this being primarily due to it being the first album I had on both CD and vinyl thus being able to compare, though there truly is no comparison.
Aw Larry…. thanks.I feel better now.And ElGuapo… Jan 1st 1970…. that was the very day I moved into a cabin in what was once a small rustic summer resort near the aforementioned Russian River (50+ miles north of San Francisco.)I was young, but weren’t you in, like 7th grade or something?LOL

Why, after drinking a whole bottle of cheap red, do you always throw-up a bottle and a half?
SusanSunshine Premium Member over 12 years ago
Never was (don’t throw things!) a Pink Floyd Fan, never drank fruit wine…
It was the Rolling Stones, Traffic, Cream…. and a $2 half gallon of red.

In oil painting class I was assigned to make a collage and then paint it on canvas. I included an MD 20 20 bottle. Still have that painting.

Wouldn’t this have worked better without the text on the album? The real album doesn’t have text on it, and I think most people would recognize it.
Putting the green pyramid poster on the wall would have been a terrific touch.
