A raw egg worked for Rocky.

Makes me feel urpy just thinking about it !

I like to stir a raw egg in my ramen.

They used to prescribe a raw egg for anemia, back in the day. Somehow I don’t think it would help much, but it would make your fur shiny.

A little arsenic does the same thing! The old time mule traders in the old west used to take their mules down to a spring in the desert where the water contained arsenic and let the mules drink it for a while before they sold the mule! Got a better price if its fur was all shiny that way!!

No, it didn’t kill the mule. What happened was that the new owner gave the mule good water to drink and after a while its fur went back to being scrawny again.

I put a raw egg in milkshakes .

Oh, I’m sure that Snoopy has a full spa and sauna in that doghouse of his; no tongue-baths for THAT puppy! :)

That’s cats actually — dogs’ tongues are smooth.

Now we know exactly why it is an American tradition at Christmastime to spike flip (in Americanese, eggnog).

That would make me sick too. He should have at least scrambled or fried it for you, Snoopy.

Years ago dogs that raided a hens nest , and ate the eggs wewe called " Egg suckers" they were beaten or sometimes killed.

You have to remember that Snoopy is far smarter than Rocky.

One of my friends would add a raw egg to his dog’s food as a treat for her. She wouldn’t eat it until the egg was added. She was a very well fed and spoiled. She later got food poisoning from the canned dog food she usually ate, not the egg. She only eats dry dog food now.

Maybe Charlie Brown should serve Snoopy egg drop soup…

Dogs (and cats) LIKE raw eggs.

My old Border Collie love raw eggs.

Many animals like raw eggs. I’m surprised there are so many people that think otherwise here. Have you never watched a nature show where animals raid bird nests? It’s a treat for them. Humans have been conditioned to think raw eggs = bad, though.

i eat raw eggs on Sat. & Sun mornings…..i break open 3 raw eggs, put them in a dish with 3 teaspoons milk, and put them in a hot skillet and stir until medium…..

Back when this strip was first published, salmonella wasn’t such a big scare as it is now…

I remember this strip from when I was a kid. I found out later that giving raw eggs to dogs for shiny fur is a myth. And dog owners should NEVER give them raw eggs because of the sallemena poison. A human, Rocky or not, should never eat raw eggs either.

Charlie Brown should of never told Snoopy that he had put a egg in supper should of mix the egg in the dinner and give it to him
