I’ve always thought the most “random” kids Schulz created were the twin girls dancing near Schroeder’s piano during the play rehearsal in “A Charlie Brown Christmas.” I remember as a kid wondering who they were because I’d never seen them before (and I devoured Peanuts paperback books). Shermy and 5? Not so much random as recurrent, like Franklin and Roy were later.
People who “stand still and fight like a man” usually end up being told to “lie still” and are frequently “bleeding like a pig.” Boxing has always been about “stick and move” – stick yur punch and move out of the way of the other guy’s punch.

Always thought the “Hold still and fight like a man” was funny, cause when your fighting you fight to win, there isn’t any rules.
angelfiredragon over 12 years ago
Unless its a sporting fight like boxing or wrestling but in random fights, no rules.
