So is Mikey the Mole gonna be anything like Hootchie the Bunny? Hootchie had a problem with spontaneous combustion too. Only their problem was that they spontaneously combusted whenever a middle class geek, like Rat or Pig or Rat, used a phrase stolen from Black hip hop culture. Hootchie was one of those that never made it into the regular comics and ended up in the “Not Ready for Prime Time Comic Strips” at the back of “The Crass Menageria.”

Mikey the Mole was not only near-sighted but also a hot newcomer with a bright future ahead of him when he uttered those last words that are seared into our memories: Feel free to roast marshmallows!
