Stretch of credibility here….I seriously doubt you could find three people in a single elementary school who have heard of Hank Williams

Nah, mudbugs are the appetizer. Bread pudding with hard sauce for dessert.

If 22 years living in south Louisiana didn’t burn me on that song, there’s no way it should remotely bother Caulfield.

Great song. Two chords, maybe? Sand it a LOT over the years, with friends and in bars and stuff. Always was an awkward part on that “And be gay-o…”

Agingstoner, A lot of teachers are musicians that kept the day job. You’d be surprised how many..

And don’t rule out the kids either…after school one day I noticed a couple of sixth grade girls sitting in the hallway. They waved and said “Hi Mr. Varnes!”…I said “Hello”, waited a beat and said “Goodby”. One yelled “That’s a great song!” The other one said, “By the Beatles!” I looked back and said “Yeah.” Another teacher (Currently in a metal band) was coming down the hall just about that time and I said, loud enough for the girls to hear, “Those guys just said that Hello Goodby is a great Beatles song.” He said “Yes it is!” and gave the girls a high five…

Kids today like all music from about 1950 on, I think. Probably because they have heard it from their parents and grand parents. But is is amazing how much they enjoy it. Even Hank.

I’ve had Snow Patrol’s ‘Run’ stuck in my head for awhile. And as for school lunch, I LOVE Jambalaya. (Avec gâteau de rouge velours pour le dessert!) <3

Jambalaya is good! It’s rice with tomatoes and various seafood thingys. And lots of spices. Too bad Hank’s son turned out to be such a ,,nut.
