Mike Doonesbury once, after getting on his brother for his new moniker Sal ( for Saliva), said “I am my parents.”

For all you Christians out there (and you too, Lila) God couldn’t care less what you wear. And that goes for some of those pagan rituals that go on in churches too. The concept of dressing up started long ago when most folks worked in the fields or mines. They’d clean up and wear something other than work clothes for church, since they would be in close proximity with others (probably the only time during the week). History lesson for today. But I’m sure someone will want to rebut either of my points — let them flow……….

Fine. Then you’ll have no trouble entering naked into the depths of hell after your time comes for you to leave this world, heathen!

Kafka a troll?…..no, the troll is josh, who smugly and gleefully hopes that for Kafka’s horrible transgression of using reason and logic instead believing in the easter bunny, the fairy godmother, santa claus and some vindictive spirit in the sky , he should burn forever in the fires of hell.really? suffering agony for eternity for not believing childish nonsense?…….my my what a great god you bow down to.tell me …. does adolph hitler or osama bin laden or josef stalin have a place in hell that is more agonizing than others- more than poor ol’ non-believing Kafka or is hell an equal opportunity pit of suffering? if so, then if you murder and are responsible for millions of deaths of innocent people, your eternal punishment is the same as for the guy who doesn’t go to church even if he is compassionate, giving, generous, helps the poor etc etc.yeh, just like the muslims , who love to say, just before they murder people in his name:’god is great!’

The Infinite is Infinite. All of space, all of the time. There’s nowhere ‘to go’. We’re already ‘there’.

Our church never had a dress code; we did not believe the Trinity was Hart, Shafter, and Marx.

The actual context of the “opiate of the people” statement was that it was the only pain-killer the 99% could afford.

Louie 99: It wasn’t the main purpose, but it worked for me.
