We had two sunny days in England – the day we were sleeping off jet lag, and the day we left – but only after I’d popped over to Hyde Park to finish off my last roll of film.
Flip side: My wife and I vacationed in Florida for a week recently, and it rained all week; not the typical t-storm and gone, but a fine steady New England rain. At Disney we were standing in line (sorry, in a “queue”) with a British family. I would have asked them how they were enjoying sunny Florida, but it was a long line.http://qmss.blogspot.com/2010/02/pop-century.html

I spent ten days in London back in the ’70’s. No rain, no fog. I felt like asking for a refund on the cost of the trip.

It’s almost like my magic umbrella, which prevents rain when I carry it and causes rain when I leave it at home.

Every time I go to Paris it pi$$es down. The rain outweighs the rewards.
