Personally I can’t see pining for the city when you have all those beautiful mountains. But Delores has her reasons I guess. And it’s nice of Banks to oblige.

nuqjatlh thanks for pointing out the tiny ‘original air date’. I’d forgotten that these were re-runs, so wondered why she was sad today when it’s not an anniversary of anything I could think of.

Personally, I can’t imagine wanting to live in a city as large as New York. I’ll take a few acres within an hour’s drive of a city of at least 100,000. Then I’ll have the city when I want it.

Well I grew up in Atlanta GA and am now hopelessly trapped in a city of 60,000 and shirking. got to get to civilization (like Raleigh at least).

News this morning announced Rocky Mount is loosing its Best Buy Store. In the last few months we have lost Sears, Goodies, Old Navy, the US Mail Distribution Center, and 450 of 1000 jobs at the RBC bank when PNC bought it out. (Way to go PNC!).

I remember the dasy this strip ran almost as vividly as I remember the day it commemorates. Corey’s strip that day was the most poignant.
