I’m trying to understand the reasoning behind this law, please bear with me.
So, two weeks before you are due to get pregnant, you should make a note not to have sex in or after that time? This is relevant only if the menstral cycle is regular surely? Does this reasoning apply only to humans or all life in general?
Since it takes two, the man is equally responsible – or don’t the laws apply to men?
just because gop failed high school biology, we all have to follow their failures. and, people wonder why american education is lousy. it it because of greedy, narrow-minded idiots like them.
For the life of me I don’t understand what you are all bitching about. My beautiful Amazon bride became pregnant one day after the end of her menstrual cycle with our eldest son. It is not an absolute that a woman is fecund only two weeks after her cycle.
I was born in and grew up in Arizona, lived there for over 40 years until until I got married moved to New Mexico 7 years ago (an astronomer’s job is just not that mobile). I have absolutely no idea what’s happened to Arizona, it’s gone totally insane. We’ve always had Joe Arpaio, but now the entire legislature has become guano-infested. Part of the problem is ALEC, they proposed lots of private prison initiatives and then came up with SB 1070, the Living While Brown law. This two-week law is just the latest manifestation. To give you some idea as to what the rest of the state thinks of the legislature and Phoenix, Tucson was doing polling to see if they could secede and become their own state, taking a good chunk of SE AZ with them. The women and minorities of Arizona have to rise up and totally demolish the AZ GOP, or this crap is just going to continue and get worse. I think at the national level the RNC is in for a surprise in November, but people are going to have to be more active at the state and local level if they want to avoid this stuff.

Remember, folks — when not being pregnant is outlawed, only outlaws won’t be pregnant!

If you know you’re going to be pregnant in two weeks and decide not to have sex, are you committing murder?

So, if the fetus is female, does this mean two more weeks of her life for the Fundies to control?

I’m still happy with most of AZ (moved here in 1998).
