I cannot wait for next week’s “more”, but I’ll be in England for a week with my older brother. Highly doubt we’ll be bringing our laptop & Tablet.

She’s headed for the viewing room…….no, seriously, guys, this could develop into a very touching and informative peek into the world of the funeral director’s world, depending on where Mark decides to take it. Having worked as a pre-arrangement counsellor, I had the privilege of seeing first-hand the compassion, skill and dedication of those who choose to be in this profession.

It’s an educational experience (although not pleasant) to go to a funeral parlor as a child and get some insight concerning life & death. By the time I was a teenager, I had attended several reviewals and funeral services. However, I had a boyhood friend who never went to a funeral until he was about 15 or 16. It really was a disorienting and traumatizing experience for him. Children have to learn about birth, copulation and death; it’s much harder for them to find out about it at an older age…
