What happens when there’s a power outage?

the point is not cost. its doing something about dumping crap into the air we breath. the price will come down as more are made and bought by the public. remember the high prices for the first flat screen tvs?

masterskrain: I can remember when they made a RAV4e, all electric. A lot of owners added a clean diesel generator to go any distance, so they stopped making the e variant. The Prius was an improvement, although I am having difficulty getting mine back up to 53.0 mpg – 52.8 currently (pun optional). My wife insists on air conditioning if it gets above 80F, and she grew up in Texas pre-air conditioners.

Don’t pat yourself on the back for ‘saving the environment’ with an electric car.The batteries are made of NICKEL.The ONLY way to obtain nickel is by STRIP-MINING – the MOST ENVIRONMENTALLY DESTRUCTIVE MINING THERE IS!

you don’t have to burn coal to generate electricity.and power plants don’t move. its easier to try to clean up the emissions from power plants. and they can be made to burn the fuel they burn more efficiently.and since power plants don’t move, you don’t need to miniaturise the scrubbing system to make them clean.
