Girl: If I hold dandelions under your chin and it reflects the yellow, it means you like butter. Caulfield: Wouldn't everybody's skin reflect that much yellow? Girl: Everybody likes butter. Caulfield: Eureka. Girl: Boy. If actual research is this easy, how lazy do you have to be to go into polling?

When we were urging our congressmen to vote for funding for the NWP, we were told that politicians counted each phone call as 500 people supporting a cause. I guess polls could work the same way.

Any large yellpw object will reflect light onto a person’s chin. Buttercups, however, are shiny and act like miniature solar reflectors in addition to being yellow.

It is buttercups. But then again, 98% or polls and statistics are made up, or is it 97%?
Varnes over 12 years ago
Statistical sampling has to have at least 1200 randomly selected people to be of any value at all. And even that would have at least 4-5% margin of errors……..several thousand would be better, but you are always going to have a margin of error….

There are cultures where people don’t eat butter – use olive oil or other oils instead. Wonder what they call the flowers we call buttercups.

Funny, no adults in this one. Usually, they offer some commentary. Nice change of pace.

There’s GOT to be a “butter makes you racist” pun in here somewhere… now if only this wasn’t written in 2012! :-)
