SimpsonFan — I’m thinking in 1968 he had the sniffles, and his mother wrote to the science teacher, who agreed to give him an “Incomplete” on his report card. That means he’d get credit and an actual grade after he turned in his science project. He brought it in last week…
Mornin’ all, when you get here….“March of Nickels”… probably Joy’s idea. She wants to save her dimes in case she ever needs….um…well, a pile of dimes, I guess.OK, just don’t ask her to give a whole dime, OK?Nickels will cure just as many diseases…. they just do it a little slower, is all.Why is everybody in such a darn hurry??
Leaky, in re your comment to me yesterday…. for a minute there I thought you were day-dreaming that you were in a scene from “Desperate Housewives” instead of in Crustwood.
Naow, hold on thar lil lady, that there’s a reel science project. That boy done got hisself a prize! Yessiree, he got a ribbon fer 23rd place. Yep, that’s whut he done did. Naow iffen we had a cow thet only got 23rd place, she’d probly git sold off as uh “cutter and canner” or at best “utility beef.” Nowadays I understand they have a new grade called “pink slime.” We wuddent take her home frum auction cuz ittud cost too much in diesel to carry her.But speakin of sum really fat stock, take a gander at that fat un up front. Don’t think we’d get much lean meat outta her. And those two old steers look tough and stringy to me.
Everything today is outdated, and Susan is right about the science project, for sure. Joy even needs to sniff the old Lysol to see if it is fresh enough to use
Ahhh….. BURL is at home recuperating from his ankle injury… and invites comapny over to see his high school science project…. ! ! !.Soon DALE will be going home to get his high school crayon set !
Good to hear, Dave. This little Timneh in my photo was already 4 (I was told) when I adopted him after Cuddles died. He did not talk at all then but barked like a dog. Now he has learned to say “with you” but no other words. He likes to whistle a few melodies tho’.

Dodo, in the time it takes you to write, “Check phone for dial tone,” you could have done it—a hundred times over.

Why would someone want their crayons warmed, anyway?

My wife and I are celebrating our 14th anniversary today.
The fact she is still around shows that I am a responsible person. Not one time in 14 years have I forgoten to lock her in at night!
Afternoon Crustwoodians!
