Yeah, I think you’re right Beviek… it’s just the start of the banner…probably for “Diabetes…”Hmmm… there’s also “Día de las Madres” next weekend, and in Mexico on May 10th…but those cakes aren’t speaking Spanish…“DIAL something?” 911? “Dianetics”….. I hope not…“Diagonal parking?”

Diabetes it is!But would big sugary cakes be fighting it or promoting it?

I think the meaning has many layers to it…

Otto — I only know two meanings for “pie-faced”….one is “drunk or stoned out of your mind,” and the other is an ethnic slur I won’t describe.

I hope it means something else in Upside-Down-Land!

The event didn’t raise much dough; it was just pie in the sky.

Any way you slice it it’s still easy as pie.

I understand that cakewalk means something easy—just not sure if the banner has any meaning.

The chocolate cake is still carrying a grudge over the fund raising hockey game. He’s still frosted that he got so many icing penalties.

Maybe it’s a regional thing. When I was growing up, I only heard “pieface” used as a term of endearment, and just learned a few years ago that it’s more commonly used as an ethnic slur toward Asians.
