Of COURSE he has a chance. The economy could tank in October. The Pope could endorse Romney. Obama could announce he (Obama) is the son of Kruschev. The LDS could announce they will no longer send missionaries into the neighborhoods. The Tea Party could roll over and die. Sarah Palin could say something thought provoking. Other than that, his odds are poor.
That ain’t Romney, it’s Rove, Limbaugh, Coulter, Norquist, and every other cull behind modern “conservatism” willing to change their story, and “history” to destroy every ethical bone in the body politic. They expect support for their jellyfish notochord of courage. Oh wait, they only have those poisonous tendrils of hate to grasp prey, or protect them.
Stephen I think he has about a 50/50 chance. Its a center right D against a “What do you want me to be?” R.It’ll be a vote decided by less than the margin of error in the counting.
0bama can’t even bring himself to identify the real enemies that declared war on the US and the West in general. He, as well as his adoring leftist uberintellectuals believe that killing of Osama and a couple of other like ‘criminals’ will end the war..Why is it that we still have to all but strip before we board an airplane?.In the meantime, the Muslim Brotherhood is taking over Egypt and leading the ‘Arab Spring’ movement elsewhere . . . . not to mention the other terrorist organizations of the militant Islam that are active and growing in strength . . . ..0bama and his leftist minions are delusional at our collective peril . . .!!!
It’s flip for a nominee to attack a former president who actually DID give such an order for a daring raid, where it turned out brave soldiers were killed. Who does Mitt think he is? He even dodged the Vietnam draft and went to France. Carter was a war hero.
I hate to say anything good about Romney, but the two statements aren’t a contradiction. The first is a strategy statement. The second is about a particular decision made under a specific set of conditions. What he doesn’t say is that if the strategy outlined in the first statement had been followed, the conditions needed for the second statement to be relevant would never have occurred.
Realistically, it’s hard for anybody to honesty say what they (or anybody else) would or wouldn’t do in a situation they aren’t actually in. Both Romney’s claim that he would have acted (against the advice of military leaders) and Obama’s claim that Romney wouldn’t have done anything, are complete speculation and of no practical value. Unfortunately, these kinds of statements are common in politics.
Right out of your playbook? It’s so simple even a dem can do it? Sheesh! If it’s not in your playbook you can’t think. All of you libs are in lock step yelling about this guy when your guy does the exact same thing.

Then again, after ten years, few of us believed it was still possible.

Another empty suit put up as a presidential nominee by Republicants out to dumb us down while their rich friends continue to loot the country.
