I recall a few of us demanding more complex story lines many months ago, when Staton and Curtis took over. It appears they heard us loud and clear.

Littleface certainly has a lot of mind to change under that big cocoanut noggin of his.

Blaze can get away with questioning Panda about operations. But Littleface will be in a heap of trouble if he speaks his mind…. I don’t like the way Blaze is gazing at that muerte vine. Maybe she’s thinking it needs to be fed again!

It’ll be interesting to see if Little Face follows through on his misgivings. I wonder if he’ll be smarter than the three late members of the quartet.

Dick Tracy USED to be good and better to follow. Before these current writers took over the plots kept repeating the panels for WEEKS before ending a storyline. Now these writers have so many characters and moves around so much it’s near impossible to figure out what’s going on and easy to get lost and disinterested.

Not meaning to complain as such, since the current strip is an incomparable improvement over what was. However, I too, often find the story arc a bit confusing and difficult to keep track of.

There is certainly a lot going on in the strip and you really have to pay attention to follow it. If you miss a day or two of strips, you will likely miss some vital info as its often given just once.

The body count, I fear, will be going up … there is mutiny in the air. Still think Mumbles will get whacked, if only to send a message to others in the criminal world that Panda don’t play.

Although I have an issue w/ the incorporation of The Mumbles Quartet into the strip (as in “why”?) I do applaud how Mike’s been doling out the narrative this month. We basically came into the Vincent Vinyl storyline post-crime & it’s been a steady accumulation of who/what/when etc. since. No confusion here! Been a very clean read & extremely reminiscent of Collins’ tenure.

Gosh, with GoComics it’s easy to go back and check a story detail you may have missed or forgotten. And it’s such a pleasure to read a week or two in one sitting (if I’ve been away). In the past, if you went on a two-week holiday, you could pick up the story right away, as if nothing had happened, because (yawn) nothing had happened.
