Boy, there are some readers who really wanted Roy to have a goatee. Unfortunately, they weren’t the majority vote. But then, I don’t see him as the goatee type. An out of control beard, sure. He was a novice and just didn’t know how to groom the thing. Andrew is the goatee type, and has had one all along. Ed sorta has one, when he shaves the sides- but his is pretty ratty.

True, but many people cast third party votes for styled beards. As with most third party candidates, they remained in the minority.
