People in the 1930’s got the strip at a NORMAL size. todays 3/4 spread would have taken 3- 4 pages to print. Some of the WWI stuff was 8’’ wide for a single strip.
Anyway, I wonder if this is a cousin to the scrawny Lester Gooch, cartoonist of Fearless Fosdick. He’s too clean for a Scragg.
ps dbig: the zoom command on a mac gets small pix in better eyeball range. Click your ‘view’ menu to see if you can zoom in on the pix as well as the text on your computer.
Just checked this with gocomic magnifying glass on. I got this strip zoomed over 31’’ before the browser lost the left border of the strip. Without the magnifying glass on I got 19’’ before the print blurred.

I didn’t realize someone was trying to keep Abner alive long after Capp’s death. This is a sad parody and the characters, especially Daisy Mae, look nothing like the originals. Strips should die with their creators or when they retire. But reruns are fine, especially Bloom County and Calvin and Hobbes.

@oldokie, I don’t know what you mean. Far as I know, nobody but Al Capp has ever drawn Abner strips.
