The lettering is so good that Capp must have been using a professional letterer by then. Someone just copied wrong.
I’ve seen the spinning, but never marking X is the spot in blood before. No doubt Pansy has Vision in the Lil Abner universe. Mammy & Pappy Yokum have a lot of the traits of Capps parents. I wonder if his mother had Vision too?
Just had a sudden memory of my parents lying awake in bed, very late many times, worrying about ‘the children’.
