The most simple and direct solution to the stated problem. But, it’s already been tried and didn’t work then. Let’s just let people marry any other person they want to.

    *Please no Santorum jokes.

This comic is great today. I have never understood the idea of people wanting to marry, being a threat to marriage. Seems to me it’s a paean to marriage that so many different sorts wish to enter such a bond.

Well said. As a young person one of my first jobs was working for a small business where most employees were gay. I learned very quickly that everybody goes through the same stuff in relationships and people are just people regardless of gay or straight. Some are commitment types and some play around alot.

Bishop Fulton Sheen once wrote that he’d heard of a lot of marriages breaking up, but not a lot of engagements breaking up. People get married for a lot of wrong reasons. If they took their time and got married for the right reasons, fewer marriages would end in divorce. Yes, it really is that simple; and yes, it can be done.

Nope, she’s just suggesting that you get to know someone before making a commitment like marriage… go figure that… ;-)
