It’s Mormon season where I am. Luckily you can spot them miles away—they always wear white shirts, black pants and ties and unmistakable name badges even if it’s 110-degrees.

Makes it easy to dodge ’em.

I just tell these people not to call again and when they do I threaten to report them for harassment.

Do you really have an S&M “play space” in your barn? What if they’d said “OK”?

A few years back I met some JW, hard drinking, hard playing, gay twins. You could feel the remorse, conflict and “guilt” a mile away.

I just answer the door wearing all of my years of accumulated Red Cross blood donor pins and nothing else.

I prefer the “Have you heard the Good News about Darwin?” approach.

Ha ha, you are all so funny. We do follow Jesus example, and yes we try to find everyone to give them hope as he did, even if you do live down very long “logging” roads.

Here is another of the at least 5 (6, if you include this, which Mr. Melcher mis-attributed to Vermeer) works by this artist (3 as Gerrit Dou, since I knew about the other name, not sure why I didn’t include it in the search before writing my earlier comment), that have, so far, appeared in Mr. Melcher’s blog, to also appear here.

The mis-attributed painting is now attributed to Willem Drost instead of this artist.
