There are no Stars & Stripes in the US flag- they are mullets and barrulets! In rural India, more than 100 women a year are killed after accusations of witchcraft! Tons of debris from Japan's 2011 Tohoku tsunami are expected to wash ashore along the coast of Canada and the United States in 2013 and 2014!

Wonder if any of the debris is radioactive.

West Coast states can make good on all of those monthly unemployment checks by imposing upon the recipients to go out and clean up the trash.
tedunn5453 over 12 years ago
WHAT?? You want to make those recipients actually work for their handouts? Why, that is just plain un-Californian!

Or maybe we can send all those deadbeats to China to find work in one of the 50,000 factories that our corporate overlords have shipped over there!
Junkyardbob over 12 years ago
How many people did Mom and Pop employ and at what wage? Nope. sorry! They are still in business while good paying jobs in those 50,000 factories are gone for good because the greed for cheap labor by the pigs of capital knows no bounds. High taxation? Got any proof? Over regulation? Again, where’s your proof? Oh, sorry. Guess you let Fox Noise think for you!

What’s wrong with India that they would allow innocent women to be killed because of a belief in something that is impossible?
Junkyardbob over 12 years ago
And just what did/do these regulations address? Worker safety? Worker health? Environmental protections? And you can be as “partial” as you want with your Economist right wing capitalist rag as you want but it’s still just feel good propaganda. Oh and I’ll sling all the mud I want if that’s what it takes to get you to think about whose side you’re on in this matter.

“Mullets and Barrulets Forever” doesn’t have the same (Liberty Bell) ring to it!

this is very weird barbulets seems to be a word ripley created. There is no such word with a google search or online dictionary. A mullet seems to be something else altogether. What’s going on at Ripley?

“Look at any financial magazine from the past twenty years.”“Don’t let the media think for you!”Read media – don’t let media do your thinking. Make up your mind.

No, they are stars. A mullet is a star with a hole in the centre, like a spur.
(Also mullets usually have six points, although five-point mullets are known.)

Happy Independence to all Ripley’s fans! We’ll be all honoring our Stars and Stipes. We all feel fortunate not to be suspected of being witches and we’ll just learn to clean our oceans of debris. =)

Read this description of the US flag at a major vexillogical website:http://www.crwflags.com/fotw/flags/us.htmlTake special note of the words “stars” and “stripes.”Yes, the stripes can be termed “barrulets” but that doesn’t mean they aren’t also “stripes.” It is just plain ignorance to say that because there is an alternate wording for what the flag consists of that therefore the usual wording is incorrect.Note: vexillology is a hobby of mine, so I am not arguing from ignorance.

As a witch myself, the factoid about India makes me sad.
