TRUE: The National Rifle Association has recently encouraged its members to purchase new "self-defense insurance" for $165 a year. Is Shooting People Causing You Legal Problems? Self-defense doesn't end when their life does! NRA Spokesman: You stood your ground. Now we'll stand for YOU. LAW We'll cover your court fees for: * Killing burglars * Killing people you think are burglars * Killing people who may very well intend to burgle Frequently Asked Questions: Man: Can I get insured against people who have this insurance? Bullet: Sorry! You have a preexisting skin condition.

A .45 APC doesn’t do the thinking, but well, neither do a lot of “gun owners” either. “Stand your ground” does encourage the brain dead to make other people dead.

Insurance because Laws don’t get people jailed, bad lawyers do.

When seconds count, the police are mere minutes away. Enter my home illegally, I will assume that you are there with malicious intent. You WILL be carried out.

Actually, legal insurance in general may not be that bad an idea. Any significant accusation, civil or criminal, true or not, can be financial devastating.

The NRA does NOT want you to know that in 90%+ of cases where an armed defender confronts an armed attacker, the “defender” ends up getting shot. (about 50% dead)
In the home, “untrained”, folks are about 6 times more likely to shoot a family member as a burglar, and with a burglar, will usually MISS the intruder.
In our little town, an incident was remembered monday night when during a planning meeting discussing a location. We were recounting how our TRAINED police officers (two) had a shot fired at them. They returned fire, each emptying TWO MAGAZINES of ammo at the guy , standing 30 feet away, and never hit him!! He ended the confrontation with his second shot, into his own mouth. (btw, over 20 rounds went into the building we were talking about, which was ACROSS THE STREET from where the guy was standing, to his right.(90 degrees from him!) More rounds went across another street, at about 40 degrees away from the “target”. THAT is what would happen in a classroom if untrained or poorly trained folks, with weapons, confronted an “armed attacker”.

Can I get insurance from people who watch too much Fixed News? They are more dangerous than guns. They keep voting against their own self interest in the name of keeping two guys from marrying.

Depends on the show.

What?

Fourcrows: If you’re thinking of the same Texas case i know of, the guy shot and killed TWO unarmed men he SUSPECTED had TRIED to burglarize his neighbor’s house, in his neighbors FRONT yard. He shot them in the back with a shotgun, while they were running away, and he walked, no charges were pursued. It’s the Texas version of “to heck with standing YOUR ground, blow them away on anyone’s”.

Dr. Canuk : “So in your value system, a television is more valuable than a man’s life?”
If it’s your television, no; if it’s my television, YES!
ghp95134 about 12 years ago
Yes sir, I am! Thank you for the compliment.
And, what’s to say that someone stealing my television will not stop at only burglary?

Ima, and so many “righites” here know all about how the real world works, Tom Cruise movies and Limbaugh injections are all they need!!

Yup, the NRA has been saying he same thing (phony garbage) for three decades, millions of Americans “defend themselves annually with guns”, from Martians?

Hmm, looking at your post, I see name calling. Does that mean you’re religious?

“Americans use firearms 2 million times a year to defend their lives and property”. Then you should have no trouble finding some of those 2 million instances to show me.
