If say they’d have both been one & done: ST TOS 1st ep & no more. And only the first Star Wars movie released. I’d have thought them great for their eras mid-60’s & mid 70’s. Which I did at the time.

They were both great, for their time and right up until now – they opened up the opportunity to do the SF genre right with a good budget and not be pigeon-holed as unworthy by movie studios.

I still like them better than the Zombie-Vampire-Werewolf movies that are popular now.

‘All he took’? Don’t forget Nichelle Nichols.

This strip doesn’t say much about SW by comparison. Maybe it demands a rare sequel.

@Stephen: On his site it says the next strip will be Why Star Wars is better than Star Trek.

And the theme is “how to explain” — not which is better — Scott’s just showing how to take on or another side. He could even have a strip about how to make the case that Zombie movies are sometimes tolerable. Although that would be a toughie.

Actually, Babylon 5 is far, far better than both.

“Deep Space Nine” rules! All else pales in comparison!

Someone once asked Andre Simon whether Burgundy or Bordeaux made the greater wine, and he replied, “I don’t know, but I should be glad to spend the rest of my life researching the question”.
