It’s not federal regulations, but state regulations. Many states allow home fireworks, including the state I live in. However, the current drought has forced our local lawmakers to enforce a “burn ban” for the time being. This still doesn’t keep the nut jobs from setting off fireworks anyway.
At one point my father pointed out to me it was illegal to buy firecrackers in the state of Florida but you could go to any hardware store and buy blasting caps and dynamite.
It’s probably a good thing it’s harder to buy dynamite lately, especially since as soon as he told me, I wanted to go to the hardware store.

Not to mention the risk of starting a wildfire….Please leave this stuff to people who are paid to do it. Don’t become a casualty. Happy 4th anyway!
