    Birds of a feather.

How DID Burl and Joy manage to find each other?

Each one perfectly matched while still in high school, with another whiny, over-eating, tattling, cheapskate social outcast.

And Joy and Marlene, the Town Crier, were likewise well paired, bringing up Joy’s tag-along little sister Verla in their image…

It seems to me that Verl still thinks big sister knows best, that Burl is a great husband, and that the likes of Jerry is all she can aspire to. Sad.

Morning, Marg, and all you other sleepyhead Crustwoodians.

Oh come on, I am sure that isn’t the only reason they hated you.

    Morning all!

There’s nothing like a tattle-tale. Jeez! I had/have a cousin like that. She’d come into our house telling on us. I can hear it still, “Aunt Allliss, they did TBA!” Haven’t seen her in over 40 years, thank God.

Dale now has to replace it. He’ll be hitting yard sales this weekend with a pocketful of quarters.

yeh. “rinsing” her laundry in the toilets probably didn’t boost her appeal much.

@2old & al – No way she made her own blouses.Today, while the BF is busy with work I was sewing the sterling chain of crystals around the neck of my new dress, but I’m now rather sleepy- have dinner almost ready to finish as soon as he is. I might like to actually relax in the Jacuzzi (skip the bubbles tonight).

Yeah, sorry, but I think actually sewing anything is too much for lazy, helpless Joy.

Her To Do list tends to say things like “Get Connie’s recipe for Sara Lee cake.”

Closest she comes to sewing is ordering one of those things that sticks on buttons with little plastic strings, like price tags….

and someday she might actually put the missing ones back on Burl’s favorite shirt from 1987.
