One year, I had put sunscreen on (as I was outdoors at a festival) but just before my ‘shift’ started as a volunteer, I went and got a haircut, and decided to NOT put my hat on, cuz I wanted to show off the doo. I got home that night, and had to have a friend ‘wet shave’ my head and apply aloe vera to my very burned scalp. :(
sunblock…when we were kids, there was coppertone and tropicana coconut oil…no sp anything…since I am a natural redhead, I got a couple of burns (dont go to sleep while sunbathing in a bikini folks) and a whole big bunch of freckles….I am still waiting for the skin cancer to strike but something tells me that if it hasnt in 40 years it probably wont at all…
I enjoyed sitting out in the sun with my drawing board when I was younger. Burnt the %&$@# out of myself once. That was plenty. I spent my sixteenth summer laying around the pool, but don’t recall burning myself as badly.
