Clem or no Clem, that’s the most pathetic town pool I’ve ever seen. It’s barely more than a hot tub.

If all the swimmers gathered at the pool’s edge at the foot of the raft and then jumped on it, Clem would become an “HFO” (Hogging Flying Object).

What a bunch of sissies in that pool! Just tell the Hog… excuse me, tell Clem that he can’t have one that big, and just pull it out of the pool. If he complains, tell him he has to take it up with the parks & recreation board – which meets again in September after school starts…

There was a discussion a few days ago about whether Clem is a boy or a girl; Wikipedia refers to Clem as a girl. However, in today’s strip, Clem is wearing swim trunks and not a one-piece like the girl sitting next to Pasquale.

You don’t need a petition, you just have to pull out the stopper, or better yet, stab it with a sharp knife. The hog will just ignore a petition, but the loss of the raft, that he will notice.

One person is not going along with the rest of the crowd. I wonder what his problem is…
