He he he. Reminds me of the couple new to the country that wanted to have an authentic farm experience, so they ordered through the post office three dozen chicken eggs to raise.
.
A couple of weeks later, they got three dozen more through the post office.
.
A few weeks later, they picked up yet a third shipment of chicken eggs. The postmaster was intrigued, so he remarked that they were sure planning on a lot of chickens to raise.
The harried young husband replied, “Well, that’s the problem, you see. I’m still not sure whether we’re planting them too deep, or upside down. . . .”
Sorry for the inconvenience… My guess is DSOTH and Frog Applause and maybe some other features share the same, possibly buggy Gocomics subserver. If I’m late (and that happens a lot), I usually upload the strip by 2 PM GMT.
Reminds me of the first time my (usually expert gardener) mother planted tulips. Next spring nothing came up and we realized she’d planted them all upside down. A couple years later, we bought some more bulbs. I got home from school and she proudly told me she’d planted them right this time, pointy end down. I thought she was joking and laughed. She wasn’t so had to dig them all back up the next day and plant them pointy end up.

Wait… did this comic just pop up at 10:12 AM? My comics shifted in number while I was reading them and this wasn’t there the first time through. :-s

This is a great idea; if all trees were like this, birds would be pooping into outer space instead of on my car.
