TJ: "I bring you a surefire money - maker and you wanna kill it with corporate bull. Sad" TJ: "You could be so much more than a manager, Ann. You have the ruthless, cold hearted, back-stabbing instincts of a top CEO" Ann: "Well, aren't you the sweet talker" TJ: "Takes one to know one"
imbaldeagle over 12 years ago
So THAT’S the sweet talk she likes! Insulting and degrading – angry and demeaning – insolent… AND he admits he’s like that, too. Really turns her on! A match made in Hell.
eocene82 over 12 years ago
On what planet is his “idea” a sure-fire money maker?
barbarasbrute over 12 years ago
I think this could be the beginning of his causing her downfall. WAY TO GO TJ.
jennifer over 12 years ago
Oh, I know where this chemistry is going. Tune in tomorrow.
ammittai_is_available over 12 years ago
I don’t think his ideas are so much about making money as they are about convincing awful eyeful to try and work her way up the corporate ladder….getting her out of that weenie world.

You mean for sexually harassing Brad and firing him because Toni called her on it? As long as it takes.

I still think these two get together.

Yes, but me thinks TJ could possibly lose sight of his ‘objective’

TJ has precisely exposed Annie Awful’s weak spot with his seductive spiel in panel 2: it’s just what she wants to hear. By panel 3, Annie is putty in TJ’s hands. Poor Nasty Ann! Doomed. Heheheh!

OK, she has twin shooters and he has a red uniform…think he’s gonna die soon?

OK – TJ has gone INTO THE WIND-UP …. and tomorrow, we get the “PITCH” !!..WILL A / E take the SWING or will it be a “flub-ball” ?.Stay tuned in sports fans – but first, this word from our Sponser …

Question:What happened to the storyline where TJ wanted to make Ann’s life hell for the awful way she treated Brad? Last time we had the weenie world storyline OX walked out of there because he saw right through er terrible acting. Did that situation go out the window or did I miss something?
Thank you very much and have the best weekend

Ann Eiffel & TJ get married, and have little CEO monsters!!! Scary!!!
Detroit1967 over 12 years ago
Greg should take the next week off and let some of the readers bring this arc to closure. Methinks you would see “Ann Eiffel Gone Wild”. Anyone else got a title for this strip-story line that they would like to share?
cdward over 12 years ago
Now I get his plan – he gets her to act unilaterally which will get her fired. OR if it gets her promote, she’s gone. OR if it gets her a nice bonus, he’s still her hero. No matter how you slice it, he wins. It helps that he doesn’t really care one way or the other.
SwimsWithSharks over 12 years ago
Whew! This strip is hot! Anyone else feeling a bit warm right now?
ajnotales over 12 years ago
She DOES seem to be offering herself up to, well, if not TJ, then to cold hearted corporate avarice. Jus’ sayin’…

If this was Star Trek, and TJ was wearing red . . . oh oh!
XianProf over 12 years ago
For all the people who have thought TJ was some kind of “Undercover Boss” in this plotline, his “Takes one to know one” line could also refer to his CEO comment in P2, not just AE’s “sweet talker” comment in P3.
Rakkav over 12 years ago
Don’t encourage her, TJ, you might give her ideas. (And now we’ve had confirmed for us something none of us really wanted to know… about you….)
Rakkav over 12 years ago
As long as it takes. “Scorched earth policy” comes to mind…
sacqueboutier over 12 years ago
I think he’s setting her up for a big fall. Bring it on TJ.
meadowlark1 over 12 years ago
Great, another stereotypical description of a CEO as having “ruthless, cold-hearted, backstabbing instincts”. Not a healthy viewpoint for society at large! As destructive a view as any other stereotype
SwimsWithSharks over 12 years ago
I think the main reason I check the comments on this strip is in case some girl who looks like Ann wants to flirt with me.
Callie Ray over 12 years ago
Idiot! What T.J. just told you WAS NOT a compliment, but an insult instead.
Doctor11 over 12 years ago
It’s TJ, and he’ll work there as long as he needs to in order to get rid of Ann Eiffel forever. Also, Ann FIRED Brad because Toni stood up to her, and she didn’t like that at all; plus Ann had the nerve to touch Toni’s face without permission, and Toni threatened to clobber her in response.
ginkens001 over 12 years ago
I think she was being sarcastic.
Gerry Lee over 12 years ago
Well, something for everyone. Tiff fans got a nice run recently, Luann has been in the strip of late, and now the Weenie World thing, which several people asked for more here. When are Luann and Tiff going to get hired to work at Weenie World? I’d love to see those two competing for Employee of the Month…

TJ and Annie Awful…anything is possible…in the comics.

how long is BJ going to work here to get revenge for Ann telling Brad to do his stupid job ?Kanukles, I was wondering that too. But though that was his original idea, now I think he kind of likes the job (he’s good at it) and heckling the boss.My guess is they’ll try the idea, a kid will choke, and Toni or Brad will save the day. Or else Corporate will waltz in and fire AE on the spot. But then, I haven’t been right yet.
sundogusa over 12 years ago
Panel 4 catches them swapping spit, sucking face, etc….
David Huie Green LoveJoyAndPeace over 12 years ago
“get revenge for Ann telling Brad to do his stupid job ?”-
Even trolls should know Ann didn’t tell Brad to do his stupid job. She had him do jobs outside what corporate would have wanted, reducing his effectiveness for them and took revenge on him for what others did.-I sometimes think she’s not as nice as she’s portrayed.
David Huie Green LoveJoyAndPeace over 12 years ago
“Let’s note that “takes one to know one” is what is passing for witty repartee today.”-True, not witty at all, idiotic in fact. -“That’s a bridk.”“Takes one to know one.”-“That’s a rainbow.”“Takes one to know one.”-Now in this singular instance, they both ARE manipulative but the rest of the universe can realize that fact without also being manipulative..
Charles Weir over 12 years ago
Yep, she arched her back so they would be more prominent.

OK – I’m convinced TJ is *%&# (ing) with her.

I do believe I see LUST in Ann’s eyes…question is: There in her office?
David Huie Green LoveJoyAndPeace over 12 years ago
And now for a thought:-If TJ’s manipulations get the lovely lady in trouble, is the world better off for it? Sure, we like to see mean people have bad things happen to them, but is that enough?me not think so.-What we really need is better people, not suffering bad people.-Does TJ know how to accomplish that? Probably not, but that at least should be OUR desire.-Just a thought

There are other possibilities besides the “Teeny Bikini Weeny”:The villain, made up like Snidely Whiplash: “Meanie Weenie”.The robot: “Machiney Weenie”.The nerd: “Beanie Weenie”.Yes, folks, back around 1985, Coleco, finally seeing the sales of Cabbage Patch Kids level off, actually planned to introduce a series of anthropomorphic hot dog action figures called “The Weenies”..We, the jaded staff of R&D, came up with some new characters of our own:THe magical one: “Genie Weenie”The Maid: “Cleanie Weenie”.The leper: “Uncleanie Weenie”.The crossdresser: “Drag Queenie Weenie”.

Great question. Revenge is for psychopaths. Redemption is better. Even in story-telling.

I think Ann likes Whips, high heels and fishnets !!
Txbiker9 over 12 years ago
Interesting idea there. Eiffel grabs TJ’s ass and now there IS a sexual harassment case. But I’m thinking he’s setting her up so that corporate sees her taking this sexist dog out for a walk without permission. Worst case scenario: Management loves the idea,

“This is a test-Are my paragraphs spaced now?”-No, they’re sober, oh wait that was spacey? anyhoo, see how easy it was?-Of course many do far fancier adjustments to text than that, I shal just sit back and admire their work.

“who would you rather date ? Ann or Tiffany ?”-Ann, of course, She’s reached the unquestioned age of legal consent.-(Not that legalisms would matter after Patsy killed me for stepping out with either one.)

I thought TJ went to work at WW to give AE a taste of her own medicine, which he already has to some degree.
When did he say he was going to ruin her?
The suggestions TJ gives AE may or may not blow up in her face but they are the same ones he would give Brad if Brad still worked there. They are not malicious, they are just not very good.

I was thinking the same thing … it wasn’t necessary for her to stand up to continue the conversation. Body language tells a lot .. this is VERY interesting, Mr. Evans. Having a woman do something similar to me many years ago, I recall the events vividly. I was so naive, someone had to tell me, “Don’t you see that girl coming on to you??” I sure didn’t. They don’t do it now. Unless they’re trying for a bigger tip.
Chuck373 over 12 years ago
Enough with the foreplay. Let’s discuss the ideas over dinner.
TWAdair about 12 years ago
I’m thinking Ann will implement the idea without corporate approval, it backfires big time, corporate fires Ann, “Mission Accomplished”.
