Dakota can now cut her hair to her normal length and sell the rest for a tidy profit to a wig maker. I wonder if it all was worth it to her in retrospect…
God bless Adobe. That’s at least 3 layers of masking to get the dark on light on med effect on the hair. ..I can remember by-hand rub ons. The really skilled did it by hand one pen stroke at a time. (sigh Foster, we’ll ne’r see ye agai’n)
Locks of Love does NOT donate wigs to cancer patients. I donated my 12.5 inches through beautiful lengths because they donate to children with cancer and women with breast cancer. Do some research if you really want your hair to go to cancer patients. American Cancer Society might be a good source for research on how to donate hair, but sometimes even the person on the phone does not know LoL primarily sells hair to furniture makers and provides very few wigs to childhood hair thinning or balding patients, and none to children with cancer because they consider chemo-caused hair loss to be a temporary condition. 6 years with unresponsive leukemia.

That was a hair-raising experience.

I don’t know where to start with this strip, there are so many things!
I love the way the middle panel is unsymmetrically divided, yet perfectly sized for framing Dakota’s growing hair.
I love Dakota’s starry-eyed, rapturous expression.
I love Phoebe’s frantic arm-waving! ::grins:: And her “Stop beholding her glory now!”
I love how Dakota winds up bending backwards under the weight of her new “Rapunzel” tresses.
I guess it’d just be easier to say I love everything! Great job Dana!!

Interesting that her eyelashes and eyebrows didn’t grow too. Would have been fodder for a few more days worth of strips.

Although in the second panel, top frame, she looks more like the new Emma Watson.
