But the one they’re talking about is a nasty, long, skinny stick of spicy, chemical-laden dried sausage,sold near the cash register in convenience stores and liquor stores… usually right next to the overpriced beef jerky.

Slim Jim = stick style beef jerky. Looks similar to dog treats to me.
