    I know the dictionary allows it, but I still think “minuscule” with an I in the fourth slot is just sad.

    Irregardless….. Actually, the word that makes my teeth grind and the hair on the back of my neck stand up is…..normalcy. Really? What IS that? (It’s already in the dictionary)

    We may not LIKE that modern dictionaries continue to reflect common usage (I hate much of it myself), but a study of the language shows that it IS the case since even before Chaucer’s time.
