They do make something like that for the pool….Idea: They could special order a couple double extra large baby walkers… But by the time they arrived they would be too small…. ! ! !
Although Joy and Verla can’t have the pleasure of walking while sitting down (while eating their ice cream) they can use adult diapers. What a joy those things are. I had to use them for a time after my prostate surgery. Hot, and felt like having a rolled up bath towel between my legs. Remember what the expression “slept like a baby” really means? You wake up hungry with no teeth or hair, you’re crying, can’t talk and have wet the bed.
Actually, they DO make them for adults. They’re PT/OT devices for adults re-learning to walk after stroke, traumatic brain injury or spinal cord injury. So these two lazy cows want them? Well, I hope they don’t end up NEEDING them. sigh Sorry. It just hit a little too close to home for me…
They’re so jealous of anyone who gets to just sit all day, …. and people are so solicitous of them, opening doors and reaching things on the top shelf at the market.
Why shouldn’t they get all that attention?Maybe they should just order theirs now, and start practicing.I mean, ask anybody who actually needs one how much fun they are.
Also…. baby walkers have been banned in Canada, and pediatrician’s groups want them banned in the US, because of deaths and head injuries from babies falling down stairs.
Literature for new parents warns of the danger, though some people still buy them.
I think Verl is saying “We don’t have to worry cos we don’t do stairs anyway.”
OMG Purple Sky – I’m so sorry! What a tough life for her…and I’m sure for you as well.
My friend actually had it pretty easy compared to that…Her injuries also were from a car accident… but she “only” lost the use of her legs… luckily, her hip joints and internal organs were damaged but functional. She married and had a baby while confined to a chair… I met her years after that…. with her second husband and then-teenage daughter.Still, anybody who has spent time with someone who can’t walk, and seen the difficulties s/he faces, would never wish for a wheelchair!
Would be kind of funny to see them tip over and watch them furtively try to upright themselves. What with their arms and legs flailing it would be worth an admission charge.
single collapsed arch, adult hip & knee probs, lateral scoliosis, all benefits of stupid/lazy parents putting their kids in walkers. if yours did, make sure your ortho-doc knows it before you get to age 25, because when it comes up on you in middle age, it’s too late…
My BF bought one of those vehicles for convenience. We used it as he wished at various venues like Ringling. I was embarrassed that people thought I had a handicap and tried to explain that we were just taking it easy on extensive walks.

They (lol) do make them for adults. The car. Drink, read, squeak and squeal with giddiness, throw tantrum, play with toys, open buffet.

And the UN-motorized version…. the wheelchair.
They can’t wait to get those!

Purple Sky — yeah, me too, cos I had a friend in a chair… and she would have traded her paralyzed legs for their lazy ones in a second!

Toenails — you drew the skip loader? (Well, I think its a skip loader… not too up on ag and construction vehicles)
In any case, very nice!
Not too sure what would happen if you continue that…I like it, but gocomics may not.
Not sure what you mean about our avatars — doesn’t look like it to me… but what do I know!Maybe he has an oeuvre I know nothing about!

These two are prime candidates for get around scooters. I’m sure they are already practicing at their local supermarket.
